How Angelina Jolie can help to build confidence

The devastation that has hit the housing market is hardly a cause for festive cheer, so it is good to see that Pete Redfern, the chief executive of Taylor Wimpey, has not lost his sense of humour.

In an e-mail to staff, leaked to Construction News, the trade journal, Redfern is in decidedly skittish mood. “Given that our share price is 'somewhat volatile' and that over the last few weeks we had more press coverage than if Angelina Jolie gave birth to Siamese twin chimpanzees, I thought it was time for a further update.”

Actually, far from being the usual boring “man the battlements” rallying cry, the memo contains a lot of useful information. He notes that the company had had “a very productive couple of weeks on our debt negotiations with our banks and US lenders”, which he says has “significantly increased our confidence of reaching an acceptable solution for the company”.

One analyst suspects that the memo was a clever ploy to allay fears over the company's future: “It could be that Redfern expected this e-mail to be leaked and it is a parting shot to the City before it closes for Christmas.”

Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Don't See Eye To Eye On Kids Issue

Brad Pitt and his beloved Angelina Jolie adore children, but it's starting to seem like maybe Brad doesn't cherish them quite as much as Angelina does. Either that, or fatigue is setting in for the 44 year old actor due to the six children he's already responsible for.

Angelina Jolie was asked on November 17th if the world could expect more children from her soon.

"Sure you can," she gleefully replied.

More kids might be just too much for Pitt, though.

"He says being a dad to six kids is 'wonderful', but extremely exhausting," an insider told In Touch.

Not only that, but Brad is "feeling a little guilty that he has to rely on hired help," the insider said. "He's always dreamed of having man children, but another one so soon is daunting."

Angelina Jolie's Brad charity pressure

Angelina Jolie wants Brad Pitt to sell his art collection and donate the money to charity.

The 'Changeling' actress, who has six children with Brad, doesn't share her lover's taste in art and has reportedly delivered an ultimatum to convince Brad to get rid of the pieces.

A source said: "Angelina hit the roof recently when Brad had another piece of art delivered to their home in Los Angeles. She wasn't happy. Angelina wants Brad to sell his art collection and give the money to charity. She says there are so many people who don't have the basic necessities, so collecting expensive baubles feels extravagant and selfish to her."

Brad, who has spent millions on his collection, has decorated their Los Angeles home with rare paintings, sculptures and furniture from all over the world.

The source added: "Angelina believes in supporting the arts, but she doesn't believe that people should be living with priceless objects. She wants to scale back on their possessions and lead a simple life."

Angelina Jolie: It's All About the Kids

Given the fact that Angelina Jolie is more often than not spotted with at least a few of her and Brad Pitt's six children in tow, it certainly comes as no surprise where her priorities lie.

"The center of my life is my kids," the Oscar winner tells the Los Angeles Times.

But she's quick to point out that it's not always easy having such a big brood.

"I woke up at 3 in the morning with four kids with jet lag and two babies," she says, recalling a recent trip to Hollywood. "I put myself together for a few hours and go out. And then I go home. This is my job."

Not that she's complaining, mind you.

"I don't dislike it here," insists the globe-trotter, referring to Tinseltown. "I just really do love to travel. I love other cultures. And I love raising my kids in the world. I'm so fortunate that I get to do that."

Angelina Jolie plans to retire

US actress Angelina Jolie has announced her plans to "fade away" from the acting scene, saying she would like to focus more of her attention to raising her six kids.

# Angelina admits to falling in love with a married Pitt

# Angelina not just a pretty face

# Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to marry

In an interview with BBC, the 33-year-old star said has grown tired of juggling life in the limelight with her role as a mum-of-six.

"I don’t plan to keep acting very long. I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day," she said.

Jolie and her partner actor Brad Pitt have emerged as a Hollywood power couple, and together they have three biological children and three adopted children.

Angelina Jolie "Wanted" to die

Angelina Jolie did not want to ride off into the sunset. At least, not when it came to portraying a sexed-up super assassin in the summer action hit "Wanted."

The Oscar-winning actress now says that she accepted the role of the sleek killer named Fox only after the filmmaker agreed to a crucial script revision: She didn't want her character still breathing when the final credits rolled. It was a major change from the story in the graphic novel of the same name but, as anyone familiar with both already knows, there were plenty of huge differences between Mark Millar's dark comic-book tale and the Hollywood adaptation.

"In the original, she doesn’t kill herself," Jolie said. "I actually changed the ending. I said, ‘If she was to find out she had killed people unjustly and was a part of something that wasn't fair, then she should take her own life.'"

Wanted

In a penthouse suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last week, during a conversation about her latest drama "The Changeling," Jolie got to talking about what had drawn her to the role of Fox, a member of a 1,000-year-old secret society that murders people who are destined to cause some unspecified tragedy in the future.

"I liked ‘Wanted’ because I liked the idea that she was somebody who believed she was delivering justice to bad people," Jolie said. “For instance, if you knew Hitler was coming and you could take him out, would you? I liked that."

"Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov failed to mention the Jolie-requested ending when I interviewed him last summer. Jolie told me that she frames her choices to appear in bombastic popcorn thrillers like the "Tomb Raider" franchise and "Wanted" as a method of counter-balancing her more somber films.

"First of all, let’s not over-think it," Jolie said, her back to a panoramic view of the city’s glittering nighttime horizon. "It's an action movie. As much as I love to be home with my kids, it gives me an excuse to go out and by physical. To do different things. Too many films like 'The Changeling' or ‘A Mighty Heart’ and it takes a toll after a while. They’re so emotional!"

Angelina Jolie Would Quit Acting For Her Kids

Angelina Jolie says her days of seeking out the perfect movie role are long gone and she would gladly leave it all behind for her family.

The Changeling star – who recently emerged from four months hibernation with twins Vivienne and Knox – reveals that motherhood has changed her priorities.

She tells the New York Times, "As long as I can be with my family, it's fun.

"But I only want to do that, and I'm not looking for anything else.”

She adds, “How can I be sure that I don't do too long hours? Can the three youngest be on set every day?"

The actress also confessed that she fell for partner Brad Pitt on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Jolie: 'I Live With My Favorite People In The World'

REUTERS/Lucas Jackson (UNITED STATES)

Angelina Jolie considers partner Brad Pitt her best friend -- and feels blessed to have six children with him.

Jolie has three adopted kids and three biological tots -- including twins, born earlier this year-- with the actor.

And the 33-year-old reveals that newborns Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline are developing features and personalities reminiscent of their famous parents.

She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "It's so much fun but it's very hard work.

The kids are forming beautiful friendships. They're teammates and they're very loving to the babies.

"The twins are just the sweetest little things. They lay next to each other.

They're starting to smile a lot. Knox looks like Brad and Vivienne looks more like me. They are developing interesting personalities. Knox seems more relaxed and Vivienne is more loud."

And the actress feels lucky to have her extended brood, and relishes the time she spends in their company.

She adds: "I feel so blessed that every day I wake up and I live with my favorite people in the world and my best friend."

Angelina Jolie Struggling To Cope With Twins

Angelina Jolie is reportedly feeling the strain following the birth of twins Know & Vivienne. Whilst partner Brad Pitt is described as a “punch-drunk, happy-tired” new daddy, the actress is said to be finding the two new additions to the ever-expanding Jolie-Pitt clan harder to handle. “(The family’s French home is) frantic and messy. There are toys and clothes strewn in practically every room,” a source tells In Touch. But it’s “feeding the twins on demand” that is really taking it's toll, according to insiders.

“Angie is tired all the time,” says another source. “Knox wakes up, and (she) will spend an hour feeding and then changing him, and then Viv wakes up as Knox is going to sleep.
“Then, by the time Angelina has fed and changed Viv, she has about 10 minutes to sleep before it all starts over again.” Despite being completely worn out, the source adds that Angelina "wouldn’t trade being a mother for anything else in the world.”

Angelina Jolie set to play Catwoman

ANGELINA Jolie is reportedly being lined up to star as Batman's nemesis Catwoman in a new movie. The 33-year-old actress – who gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne earlier this month – is said to be in final negotiations with studio bosses to play the feline villain who first appeared in the Batman comics. It is not clear whether she would play the role in the current Batman film series, starring Christian Bale as the caped crusader, or in a spin-off film as Halle Berry did in 2004's Catwoman.

Actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the Batman TV series from 1966 to 1967, has given her blessing for Jolie to play the part.
"Angelina would own the part," Newmar, now 74, said. "My industry friends tell me she has already made enquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love. "She is tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess." Other actresses to take on the role of Catwoman include Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992 movie Batman Returns, and Eartha Kitt who took over from Newmar in the TV series. Jolie was recently tipped to be starring in The Thomas Crown Affair 2 alongside Pierce Brosnan and has reportedly been ordered by studio bosses to put on weight for the role.

Van Carrying Angelina Jolie Twins From Hospital A Pizza Delivery - Cruel Hoax!

The media were cruelly hoaxed by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on Saturday morning, when a white van allegedly carrying the twins away from the Nice Lenval Hospital turned out to be a local pizza delivery vehicle. An eyewitness explained, "The van had a huge neon sign on its roof flashing the words 'Angelina, Brad and Twins inside'. Naturally, the paparazzi and film crews took chase. There must have been a good half mile tailback."

After about a mile, the van stopped outside a house in the Nice Suburbs. "The bandwagon screeched to a halt," continued the witness. "Cameras started flashing; reporters and film crew set up; it was pandemonium."
Unknown to the media circus, out stepped 22-year-old Nicolas Duval, a 'Luigi's' pizza delivery man, with an order of 12" deep pan Hawaiian; fries; coleslaw; and two cokes. "The man seemed most puzzled by all the attention," continued the witness. "He began posing for shots and even took off his white delivery uniform, so the paparazzi could get pictures of an impressive hairy chest."

Meanwhile, Angelina and Brad were having a good laugh back at the hospital via a minicam placed on the neon light.
"The flashing words suddenly changed to "Gotcha!" along with a smiley face. I don't think the media were best pleased." A spokesman from the Lenval Hospital later said, "Angelina and Brad are planning to stay for some time. They like it here; they love the food; and get on well with doctors and staff. They may even buy the hospital and live here. Negotiations are presently under way." Adding, "Oh, and the twins are doing just fine too." This event brings back memories of the infamous Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes hoax, when the couple fooled the media into believing they were Irish leprechauns.

Angelina Jolie way ahead of Wall Street

PARIS: If only those hedge-fund hotties had taken their eyes off their screens and looked at Angelina Jolie's hemlines! Financial pundits should take note that in the months since the movie star found she was expecting twins and adopted a new, ankle-length, hippie-de-luxe style, the stock market has followed her downward trajectory.

The floor-sweeping style started a trend taken up by young Hollywood from Jessica Simpson to the über-stylist Rachel Zoe. Their look offers an eerie parallel with the 1970s - the last time that recession and plummeting hemlines were in unison.

Fashion is always a mirror of society. Thus, in a strange forecast of what the Federal Reserve discovered in the banking system, over-exposure and total transparency in the wardrobe has been followed by complex cover-ups and a downward spiral.

Fashion designers now seem clairvoyant. This summer's collections - shown last October, when the stocks were still riding high on a bull market - were filled with long skirts. From classic Chanel to cool Christopher Kane, dresses were long and languorous or a waterfall of frills - but always scraping the floor. Fashion had turned its back on the Paris Hilton girlie glitz: short, sheer dresses; sequinned sparkles; and any-color-as-long-as-it-is-pink.

Why wasn't Wall Street noting the sartorial changes? Although designers always dismiss the correlation between skirt lengths and financial markets as a fashion historian's fantasy, the parallels are striking. Up went hemlines to dizzying heights in the financial and social whirl of the roaring 1920s - revealing women's legs for the first time in recorded history. Then came the bear market and bare was out - except for low backs on the floor-length gowns that dropped hemlines just before the 1929 Wall Street crash.

War always brings clothing back to the status quo, according to James Laver, the historian who traced the rise and fall of waistlines as symbolic of social upheaval in his sweeping study "Costume: The Arts of Man," published in 1963. The end of the Second World War (and the arrival of Christian Dior) brought waists and hemlines back to "normal." But as soon as the economy expanded in the 1960s, up and away went miniskirts - only to crash with the financial troubles in the 1970s. And so the graph of skirt lengths has continued in tandem with Western economies with the 15-year run of bull markets reflected in short-and-sweet dresses.

You could, of course, put the current fashion down to boredom and a desire for change. Or, in the case of Jolie and other actresses like Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani, a way of maternity dressing that elongates a puffy silhouette and conceals swollen ankles and veined legs.

But that simplistic view does not explain why the long skirts have caught on even with young French women, who traditionally have always worn short, slim outfits. The fact that Jolie's maternity wardrobe of high-waisted, floor sweeping dresses came from Gérard Darel, a middle market French clothing company, rather than from either a designer resource or a fast fashion chain, proves that there is a pent-up demand for the look. Expect a new version of the maxi coat to surface for winter.

Yet the absolute connection between finance and fashion remains more a hunch than a proven reality.
Harold Koda, curator in charge of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, instigated a research project at Harvard Business School to try and nail the reality of the myth.

"There were many exceptions - the rule does not always apply," says Koda, who himself looked at the idea that "flush times mean higher hemlines" by taking expansive fashion way back to the 1860s.
"What you can say is that any great designer has his or her finger on the pulse of society," says Koda. "And when you are psychologically battered and feel a sense of encroaching pessimism, there is a tendency to cover up - whether that means long sleeves, higher necklines, long skirts or opaque tights."

Doctor: Jolie twins to arrive 'in weeks'

Voice actor Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrive for the screening of the animated film 'Kung Fu Panda' by directors Mark Osborne and John Stevenson at the 61st Cannes Film Festival May 15, 2008. [Agencies] Angelina Jolie's twins may take a few more weeks to arrive, media quoted the actress's doctor as saying Thursday. Dr. Michel Sussman said the actress had checked into the hospital just for closer surveillance rather than for birth, adding that Jolie "will stay in the hospital until the birth."

"She is very well, and she's okay. Brad and Angelina want everyone to know that everything is going well. Everything is normal," Sussman assured.
Sussman gave no due date about birth of Jolie's twins, saying they are expected to arrive in the weeks to come. "This is something you can't program, you never know for sure," Sussman said. The 33-year-old Oscar winner already has one daughter with actor Brad Pitt -- 2-year-old Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. The couple have also adopted three more children - Cambodian-born son Maddox, daughter Zahara from Ethiopia and Pax from Vietnam.

Angelina Jolie's critic kids

Angelina Jolie's new movie has been approved by her biggest critics - her children. The actress voices a character in animated film 'Kung Fu Panda', which also features Jack Black, and it has proved to be a hit in her household.

Angelina, whose long-term partner is Brad Pitt, revealed: "Our eldest three, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, have seen the film and they loved it very much, which is a huge relief because they're my biggest critics." Angelina, who is pregnant with twins, was happy to take on the role because the movie has something to teach children.

She added: "It's nice as a parent to be able to relax and take them to a movie and sit back and think, 'They're going to enjoy this but they're going to get a good life lesson.' "It's always much more exciting to do a film like this when you have children but the truth is I would have done this film if I didn't have children because I think the message is so great." Angelina Jolie rushed to the doctor

Angelina Jolie was rushed to the doctor after an ankle injury caused her legs to swell. Jolie, who is reputedly 6 months pregnant with twins, was in Texas filming the adventure film Tree of Life at the time of the injury, so decided to fly home to LA to have it checked out by her own physician.

“At first she thought it was just a twisted ankle or something,” an insider tells Life and Style magazine. “But everyone was worried because of the pregnancy and previous problems she’s had with leg swelling.
“Angelina didn’t want to take any chances, and everyone agreed. Brad was really worried.”

But a couple of hours into their flight to Burbank, Calif., on April 17, Jolie’s injury turned into something even more serious, and the pain began to worsen. “Her legs were swelling,” adds the insider, “and she was getting really wobbly and starting to feel sick.”
The pain then grew so severe Brad and Angelina considered making an emergency landing in their private Gulfstream jet. “Angelina’s medical team had advised her to head to the nearest medical facility if the situation got worse,” said the insider.

But the ‘Tomb Raider’ star insisted they continue on to LA so she could see her own doctor. Shortly after 3 p.m., the jet landed at Burbank airport, where a fleet of blacked-out SUVs were waiting, along with Angie’s physician.
The Jolie-Pitts were rushed to their home in Los Feliz, where a team of nurses was also waiting for them.

The lowdown on Angelina's heartburn

Elicia Murray
March 18, 2008

MAGWATCH

HOLD the front page - a pregnant woman is stressed. You know that it's a quiet week when the glossies have no option but to revert to that old chestnut, Angelina Jolie's baby bump.

It's not new, and the twins it is rumoured to house are showing no signs of checking out any time soon, but there are covers to fill and magazines to sell, so who better to splash with than Hollywood's most prolific kiddy-collector since Mia Farrow.

Famous reports Brangelina are shelling out $20,000 a month to lease a secluded ranch in Texas, which they are turning into a high-security fortress as the birth approaches. While babydaddy Brad Pitt works nearby on a new movie, Ange "may be suffering heartburn", an obstetrician reveals. NW has found a way to rehash the serial adoptress's murky past, saying she is plagued by concerns her sproglets may grow up to be addicted to drugs or sex. In other words, they should fit right in in La La Land.

"She's terrified of what DNA she's going to pass on to her babies," a source said. Even if they are head cases, at least the little mites are unlikely to be forced to wade in the shallow end of the beauty gene pool.

From ladypilot to man eater, Jennifer Aniston has assumed the mantle of a suicide risk with really good hair. She is pictured strolling on a beach reading a script with her Marley & Me co- star, Owen Wilson. Famous reports that pals of Wilson, who last year apparently tried to kill himself, fear he's not in the right place emotionally for a new romance, "not least with a woman with Jen's romantic history".

Why has the former Friends star been labelled a relationship no-go zone? Has she stalked her man-prey or forced them to colour co-ordinate outfits at awards nights? No, nothing so heinous. Turns out she just managed to accumulate a couple of exes by the time she hit 39, thereby ruling her out of girlfriend material contention.

This week's Who springs to her defence with an Elephant Man-inspired cover proclaiming: "I am not a victim". She may not be, but one rumoured beau, the Sex And The City actor Jason Lewis, deserves our sympathy. "Jason was trying to look hot but he had a major spray-tan going on," an observer remarked.
Meanwhile, there is trouble in TomKat paradise, with photos of Scientology's favourite gnome embracing a mystery brunette. Woman's Day sees NW's brunette and raises it a blonde, showing Tom Cruise kissing a second woman behind a bush. The bigger mystery is that he looks taller than both women. A trick of the lens perhaps.

Angelina Jolie Sexy Make Up Call for Brad Pitt

By Cyndi James
Mar 9, 2008

Angelina Jolie may be very pregnant but the one time vampy Hollywood sweetheart still understands that there is nothing like a little make up sex to ease the tensions between partners, a report from the National Enquirer claims. According to the published report Brad Pitt was not very happy with Jolie jetting off to Iraq and he is also not pleased with the lack of time joie is spending with him of late, the report claims.
Back to Mr. and Mrs. Smith for Angelina Jolie?

“Things were rough enough between Angelina and Brad before she became pregnant. But lately, she’s been a bundle of nerves and feeling incredibly insecure about her looks,” an insider told The Enquirer.
With four kids and twins on the way, “they’ve also had problems finding enough ‘alone time’ for each other. Due to her pregnancy and all the anxiety, their sex life has suffered.” But Jolie paid a visit to an adult store and picked up some pretty wild items to spice things up according to the magazine.

"Angelina spent about 30 minutes browsing in the Coco de Mer store on Melrose Avenue. She bought a peek-a-boo black bra, plus special tape used for bondage games," said a source. (She also bought one other item, which is even more personal and better left unprinted, the story from the Enquirer claims!). Back to Mr. and Mrs. Smith for Angelina Jolie?
The chatty insider claims, "Angelina feels sex is the only way to ease the fighting with Brad. So she put together a little bag of tricks to keep him busy in bed." It surely can't hurt.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt to Stay in US: Baby to be Born in Texas?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could finally have a child born in the United States! The couple has temporarily set up shop in the rural town of Smithville, Texas, where Brad is shooting his latest film, OK! Magazine is reporting this week with their cover story. Does that mean they will stay in the state for the remainder of Jolie's pregnancy.

The magazine has the couple on the cover in what will run polar oppisite of earlier predictions that the baby would be born overseas. Many have already picked France as the birthplace for the couple that used Namibia for the birthplace of baby Shiloh.

One thing is certain about Jolie, she is still a celebrity, like Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera before her just recently, despite a pronounced baby bump she is trying to use the pregnancy for publicity and to keep some sort of a public relations buzz going. So far it has worked. She has supplanted Jamie Lynn Spears and her sister Britney and is back where she belongs as a tabloid cover queen.

OK! Promises that they will have all the details on the Brangelina search for the perfect Texan home, who’s picking out the new baby’s name (they’re leaving it to one of their kids!) and why Brad doesn’t mind changing diapers.

Jolie sees benefit in US surge in Iraq

NEW YORK - Actress and humanitarian activist Angelina Jolie said Thursday that the reinforcement of U.S. troops in Iraq has created an opportunity for humanitarian programs to boost assistance for Iraqi refugees. In an op-ed piece published by the Washington Post, titled "A Reason to Stay in Iraq," Jolie details the plight of refugees and says their conditions have not improved since she visited the country last August to urge governments to provide more support.

Jolie, who has been a U.N. goodwill ambassador since 2001, was in Baghdad earlier this month to again highlight the refugee problem. She talked with Gen. David Petraeus, the American military commander in Iraq, and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the U.S. Embassy said. Petraeus "told me he would support new efforts to address the humanitarian crisis" as much as possible, "which leaves me hopeful that more progress can be made," the actress wrote.

She said she stressed to Iraqi officials there must be a coherent plan for helping some 2 million Iraqis who are taking advantage of the downturn in violence to begin trickling back to abandoned homes from havens elsewhere in the country. A similar number fled Iraq to escape the bloodshed. "It will be quite a while before Iraq is ready to absorb more than 4 million refugees and displaced people," Jolie wrote. "But it is not too early to start working on solutions."

The actress, who works on behalf of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, urged America's presidential candidates and congressional leaders to step up financing for aid to displaced Iraqis. UNHCR has asked for $261 million this year — "less than the U.S. spends each day to fight the war in Iraq," she wrote. Addressing the question of whether the "troop surge" has worked, Jolie said that "I can only state what I witnessed."

"When I asked the troops if they wanted to go home as soon as possible, they said that they miss home but feel invested in Iraq," she wrote. "They have lost many friends and want to be a part of the humanitarian progress they now feel is possible."

Angelina Jolie suffers health scare at 20,000 feet

Angelina Jolie suffered a terrifying health scare 20,000 feet in the air - and collapsed in her plane seat, according to U.S. reports. Jolie was on the last leg of an 18-hour journey from Iraq home to L.A. when someone sitting close to her insists she went through the terrifying scare.

And she was reportedly given oxygen when she landed before medics gave her the go-ahead to leave. The reports are all the more alarming because Jolie is widely reported to be at least three-months pregnant with twins. “She started to get swollen ankles and nosebleeds and started having leg cramps,” the onlooker told Life & Style magazine in the U.S.

“She fainted into her seat.” She was encouraged to get out of the pane for a break on her journey, with the option of it landing an hour north of L.A. “Angie said no - she didn’t want any more delays,” the insider said. “She said she’d promised her kids she’d be home to make them lunch.”

According to Life & Style, Angie has been worried about her health - but is refusing to slow down. “She refuses to let fatigue dictate her schedule,” a friend told the magazine. “She reminds herself that there are pregnant women who work in fields for 10 hours a day, an then she feels guilty for even thinking about complaining.”

Hollywood star wants counselling first

Angelina Jolie wants to adopt and also have another biological child in 2008. First though, she needs to come to terms with the loss of her mum Marcheline Bertrand who died in January. Her brother James, 34, told Now last week: 'When we lost our mom neither of us could stop crying. 'She fought it [cancer] for a very long time, 8 years on and off, but she got to see her grandchildren. That was the best – seeing her with Angelina's children.'

Now Angelina, 32, and partner Brad Pitt, 44, have told friends and family that they want to add to their brood of three adopted children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 2 – and 17-month-old baby daughter Shiloh. A close family friend says: 'They're adopting another child within the next three months. Pax and Mad are both from Asia, but Brad and Ange want Zee to have a companion from Africa.

'Ange is also going to try for another baby. She did have a movie role lined up, but that's been delayed, so she's trying to get pregnant straight away.' Angelina's also set to see a grief counsellor as she struggles with the pain of losing her mother. Almost a year on, she's still breaking down in tears and having trouble sleeping.

Her weight has plunged and she's become haunted by a fear of dying. Plagued by grim thoughts about her own mortality, she's been forced to look long and hard at her life. A close friend says: 'Ange's so down right now and in a really dark place. We're worried that she's suffering from depression. She's showing all the classic symptoms. Brad is aware of the problem and has persuaded her to get help.'

Angelina Jolie Refuses Pregnancy Question

Angelina Jolie refused to answer any questions about her rumored pregnancy. The actress scolded a CNN reporter when she attempted to ask her if she and Brad Pitt were expecting again.

Jolie was talking with CNN about her involvement with helping Iraqi refugees. At the end on the interview reporter Arwa Damon started to ask Jolie about a possible baby on the way. Jolie cut Damon off before she could complete her question.

“Oh, don’t. Stop it. Stay true to your tradition. You’re CNN. Don’t do it,” Jolie said.

The 32-year-old is said to be pregnant with twins. She and Pitt have neither confirmed or denied the rumors. The couple already have a biological daughter Shiloh and three adopted children; Maddox, Zahara, and Pax.
